Feathers by theTieDyeCloak Feathers by theTieDyeCloak
After a very long day of writing code, I'm happy to announce that as of now, the suspect questioning portion of the Greyshire game is now open! Every time I post a suspect's portrait that means you can ask them questions directly, and that character (not me guys, I am but a humble author ;)) will answer you back. Of course there will be a lot more to talk about once a crime has actually been committed, but if you are curious about anything Feathers-related, feel free to drop him a line in the comments! For lots of useful info about asking questions/ what happens with answers, check out this lovely page I've added to the official site.

(AND for the more blog-oriented of you, you can also ask questions through Tumblr because Greyshire now has it's own page!)

Oh, my - I see I've missed 2 suspects? Can I still ask any questions?

Of course! You can ask as many questions as you like- once I've posted a suspect's portrait they're open for questioning for the rest of the game. (Unless of course they turn out to be the victim, in which case you've got a briefer window of time to get your questions in :O)

Mr. Feathers...are there any sort of shady dealings that happen within and around the Greyshire compound?

Feathers: "I can assure you that the conduct of my employers has been beyond reproach for the entirety of my career at Greyshire. I cannot vouch, however, for the actions of the many guests who frequent the estate. The master has a tendency to invite some rather... unique individuals."

Why do you stress upon the word "unique"? Would you care to elaborate, please?

Feathers: "Take, for example, the time they invited the accordionist with an acute case of pyromania. Or the hypnotist who believed his brother was a duck. Or perhaps the entire band of gypsies who pitched a tent in the conservatory for three weeks (All the cutlery, quite gone.) Then there was the color-blind florist who kept digging up the rose bushes, and the organ grinder who turned out to be having an affair with the grand Dutchess of York, and the chimney sweep with hay fever who was really the grand Duke of York in disguise (That was an interesting night.) We’ve also had a blind chemist who was not blind, a Scotsman who was not Scotch, and a milkman who did deliver milk but was in fact a woman. I could go on, but I trust you see the general pattern."

This...:XD:

Another question, Mr. Feathers, if its not too much of a bother. What would you say about the employees at Greyshire?

Feathers: "I think them a very capable staff when it comes to running the estate. Was there anything in particular which you wished to know about them?"

Do they have any odd habits or original traits?

Feathers: "I should say they are all original in one way or another. Ms. Sophie is a reliable maid but often has a tendency towards the over-dramatic. Tobias is perhaps the most enthusiastic employee I've yet to encounter and has nothing but the best intentions, though I'm afraid he can be rather clumsy at times. Oh, and there's also his habit of singing to the plants when he waters them. To make them grow better, I believe."

(LOVE THIS IDEA! :) )

So, Feathers, how did you first come by your employment here at Greyshire Manor?

Feathers: "I first made the acquaintance of the Lord and Lady Greyshire during their early travels to the East Indies, where I became rather indebted to them for removing me from an unfavorable employment situation. I was still quite a young footman at the time, and have been under their employ ever since."

You are very grateful to them then. How far would you go to protect your employers? Perhaps so far as to maim someone who was snooping about the house? What if that person was in danger of uncovering an unfavorable secret?

Feathers: "I assure you Madam, while the master may have many secrets, none of them are unfavorable. Though I do not like to resort to force and certainly do not make a habit of maiming, I should do whatever is necessary to protect the good name of Greyshire."
